Mindful March – Day 19 – Listen deeply to someone and really hear what they say

Mindful March – Already at Day 19

There is so much noise around us, we are surrounded by distractions whether thats other people, advertising, the news, social media. There’s a host of things to distract us day to day so it’s often incredibly hard to be present. One of the biggest issues today, especially within relationships is not being witnessed. So many women complain that their partner doesn’t ‘see’ them. This essentially means that when she is talking, her partner doesnt look like he’s actually listening to her.

This is not something that solely happens in intimate relationships, its happening increasingly across the board. So many people go out to dinner or are sat in meetings one eye on the person talking and the other scrolling through emails.

A great but simple gift you can give someone today is to deeply listen, and really hear them.  This is, in fact, something that many great teachers start with at the core of their relationship advice! I’ve heard it from Tony Robbins, Deepak Chopra, Alison Armstrong and so many more.  Listen, and hear. See what impact this approach has on your relationships today!

Today’s task: Listen deeply to someone and really hear what they have to say

Special thanks go to www.actionforhappiness.org for their amazing work and launching Mindful March.
